Meet Our Stylists

I’ve been a professional hair stylist for over 25 years, graduating in 1997 from Albert's School of Hair Design. I started my journey in the coastal town of Old Saybrook but the majority of my career has been spent in the historical seaside community of Mystic.

In 2009 I completed my certification in becoming a Goldwell master colorist. I continue to educate myself within the Goldwell brand and other aspects of my craft to stay current with the latest trends.  

In 2019 Salon Nevieve was created along side my family, business partners and staff.

My goal as a stylist is to achieve an excellent reputation that comes from my specialized talent in cutting and coloring. I have an artistic eye for creating customized blends of color, highlights and tones, through specialized techniques that will enhance the dimension and healthy appearance of my clients hair.

As an owner I challenge myself to lead my team in becoming their very best, creatively and financially behind the chair.

When I’m not in the salon, I enjoy spending time with my husband James and two children Marcus and Miya. We love to travel, watch movies, take summer rides in our “96 Corvette, snuggle with our pets and overall just to experience new things together

Hairdressing is a true art form for me. Taking in a persons vibe, lifestyle, natural beauty and current trends and elaborating on all of that is how I approach hair. I’ve been doing hair for 33 years now and am more turned on by the creative process than ever. You get to know and expand upon the craft; get to know people- what they can handle, what the hair can handle, what beautifully suits them, and educate them on realistic goals. The best results require nuance and subtly, and these things all change markedly throughout ones life.

Hello ! My name is Sarah and I have been doing hair in the Mystic area for 13 years. I started my journey at The Red Door as lead stylist and trainer and now I am continuing my career here at Salon Nevieve. I like building relationships with my clients and making them feel good about themselves. When I’m not behind the chair you can find me at home with family or watching my daughter ride horses at the barn.

I live by this. Yes It’s my job to create beautiful hair for each and every guest in my chair but I want to go beyond that. I love getting to know my clients and getting as close as possible so I can dig past the surface and really give you a cut and color that shows off your maintenance, personality and life style. I love creating lived in colors tones we see in the world around us. I have a passion for bridal hair also which I’ve had the pleasure of my work being published in Southern Wedding Style magazine. I’ve been a local stylist in the area for almost 8 years previously working at the Red Door Salon and Spa in Mystic. I’m excited to be apart of a new team that already feels like family and I’m looking forward to getting to know and meeting new and existing guests in the salon! 

When I finished cosmetology school in 2018 it started a fire in me to obtain as much education in this industry as possible. I went to Santa Monica CA to study under the master cutters at Sassoon Academy, whose techniques built the foundation of hair cutting as we know it today. When I finished at Sassoon, I went on to educate myself in Goldwell color and enrolled in several Goldwell classes to fully understand how their color works; both on their own and how they work together to achieve the exact shade and tone my clients desire with long lasting results. Currently, I am adding make-up applications to my portfolio  for my clients; whether you're getting married, heading off to prom, or just looking for some application techniques, I'd love to help!

I’m a Montvile native, a graduate of T & G Hairdressing Academy and thrilled to share my talents at Salon Nevieve! After successfully completing my formal education, I interned directly under salon owner Dana Champagne at Salon Champange in Niantic, CT. While under Dana’s tutelage, I advanced in my technical skills and brought my creative vision to the next level! I’m always looking to excel in this industry, I am currently continuing my education as a Goldwell color specialist while training with private mentors fine-tuning my skills to the most current and innovative cutting and styling techniques. I strive to make my clients feel beautiful inside and out by carefully assessing their requests while highlighting their unique individuality. I focus on listening to my clients' preferences and recommend hair styles based on face shape and complexion while considering my clients’ desired look. I strive to educate my diverse clientele on proper hair treatment, color maintenance and scalp care. I specialize in  lived in colors, balayage, weddings and special occasion hair. 

Growing up in Mystic, I am so excited to get the opportunity to be a stylist in my hometown!

I’ve always had a passion for helping others.  My journey started at Southern Connecticut State University where I received my bachelors Degree of Science with a concentration in therapeutic recreation. Upon graduation I worked as a certified recreational therapist. However; I wanted more and was always interested in the beauty industry. So, I decided to get my cosmetology license. I enjoy having the opportunity to work with clients to help them feel their absolute best.
After graduating cosmetology school, I continued my education with private mentors who specialize in Goldwell color, I also obtained a “Masters of Balayage” certification. While I specialize in blonding, I enjoy all aspects of color.  I am passionate about learning and evolving with all new styles and trends.

In my free time, I love to travel to exotic places and surround myself with friends and family.
